Providence Bay Beach

Providence Bay Beach is an amazing 2 km sand beach on the Lake Huron coast that is open to the public and never crowded. Great little places to eat are within walking distance of the surf. Live music, long walks on the boardwalk at sunset, and a giant playground. Wide open skies, sand and sun, Providence Bay Beach is said to be the nicest beach in Northern Ontario.

Check out the mouth of the Mindemoya River at the fishing and viewing platforms. You may catch a glimpse of trout or salmon coming up stream to spawn!

The sand dune system supports unique ecosystems. Plants living on the dunes have adapted to grow in one of the harshest environments in Ontario. Take special care when on the dunes to help protect this sensitive environment.
