Canada Post Strike Impact at the Municipality of Central Manitoulin
Due to the ongoing strike of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Canada Post will not be picking up, processing or delivering any mail. This is impacting mail services to and from the Municipality of Central Manitoulin. Residents, businesses, and community groups should use alternative delivery services for any mail being sent to the Municipality to ensure its delivery and the Municipality will work diligently to find other options for delivering property taxes and/or water utility bills.
The Municipal Utility Bills have now been processed. Please stop by or phone the Municipal Office to review your bills or account balance, and/or make a payment.

Central Manitoulin is pleased to announce that both Central Manitoulin visitor centres, the Welcome Centre/Pioneer Museum in Mindemoya and the Discovery Centre in Providence Bay are now open for the 2024 season!

The municipal building located at 6020 Highway 542, Mindemoya, ON will be acting as our cooling station throughout this heat wave during normal office hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Central Manitoulin ratepayers will be able to bring household hazardous waste the Roads building at 7 Lakeshore Road on July 20, 2024 from 1 pm to 4 pm. This location is in conjunction with several other Municipalities. The Town of NEMI will have a separate event in the morning at the NEMI landfill.

Please be advised Splashtown Manitoulin inflatable waterpark will be installing the park at Mindemoya Government Dock Beach and Park on Lake Mindemoya at 524 Ketchankookem Trail, Mindemoya, ON, on Saturday June 22nd and Sunday June 23rd, 2024.
