Congratulations to the 2024 Harvest Glory Days Decorating Winners from Central Manitoulin!

Please be advised the Municipal Office will be closed for Thanksgiving Day on October 14, 2024. Council and staff wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend.

The Municipality of Central Manitoulin in partnership with Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association successfully opened Mouth of the Mindemoya River in Providence Bay, ON to allow spawning salmon to access the river. The work was conducted on Friday October 4th, 2024 under an approved Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry work permit.

The Municipality of Central Manitoulin in partnership with Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association will be dredging the sand at the Mouth of the Mindemoya River in Providence Bay, ON to allow spawning salmon to access the river.  The work will be conducted on Friday October 4th, 2024 under an approved Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry work permit.  An excavator will be used to pull sand out of the mouth of the river and it will deposited on the adjacent beach area.

Please be advised Providence Bay Beach work has been completed.
