    Residents and visitors should be advised that there is an ongoing air quality warning because of the forest fires around the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Wildfire smoke can be harmful to everyone’s health even at low concentrations.

    A great group of people came out for the Guided Hike at Wagg’s Woods Trails this morning in Mindemoya, ON. The group of about 25 came out for a tour of the newest addition, the Alvar Trail.

    The Municipality of Central Manitoulin is seeking applicants interested in the position of full-time Solid Waste Operations Supervisor.

    The Solid Waste Operations Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations of the Municipality’s solid waste services and will support the implementation of the long-term Waste Management Plan that was approved by Council in 2022.

    Please be advised the southeast end of the Providence Bay Beach Boardwalk (near Providence Bay Tent and Trailer Park entrance) is closed for part of the day May 26, 2023 while the Maintenance Department conducts some work.
