Annual Festivals in Central Manitoulin

There are three major summer festivals in Central Manitoulin!  Bluegrass in the Country, Lions Homecoming Weekend/Manitoulin Ribfest and The Providence Bay Fair!

Bluegrass in the Country

Bluegrass in the Country is a three-day Bluegrass Music Festival that takes place on the second weekend in June at the Providence Bay Fair Grounds. Proceeds from this festival go directly to the Manitoulin Special Olympics. For more information on Bluegrass in the Country please visit

Homecoming Weekend and Manitoulin Ribfest

Homecoming Weekend is a July long weekend tradition for Mindemoya. Hosted by the Central Manitoulin Lions Club, the weekend involves the annual Canada Day parade, children’s events, and Manitoulin Ribfest. Majority of the events are located at the Mindemoya Baseball Fields. Proceeds from the events go to donations back into the community.

The Providence Bay Fair

The Providence Bay Agricultural Fair is held annually on the third weekend of August. It is an event for everyone, with a Fair Ambassador competition, flower shows, competitions, midway, musical entertainment, and horse pull.
