The Municipality of Central Manitoulin has received the Integrity Commissioner’s report concerning a complaint involving Councillor D. Stephens and alleged breaches of the Council Code of Conduct.
Following a review of relevant documents and interviews with the parties involved, the Integrity Commissioner determined that Councillor Stephens did not violate the Code of Conduct. As no violation was found, no penalty or further action was recommended to Council.

The Municipality will be completing repairs on the Hare's Creek Bridge on Ketchankookem Trail, between Old Highway 551 and the Brookwood Brae Golf Course entrance.
Work is expected to begin on July 15, 2026, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, July 17, 2026. During this time, traffic will be reduced to a single alternating lane, and motorists should expect minor delays.
Fresh gravel and dust suppression will be completed as soon as possible after work begins. In the meantime, dusty conditions are expected for a few days.

This change is being implemented to streamline operations and improve efficiency at transfer station locations.
