  • Roads Committee Meeting Cancelled for February 3rd, 2026

    Please be advised that the Roads committee meeting has been cancelled for Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.

  • Council and Committee Meeting Recordings Available Online
    Starting in January of 2026, recordings of Central Manitoulin Council and Committee meetings are now available for public viewing online.
    Meeting recordings may be accessed through the Municipality's YouTube channel or on the municipal website calendar, where video links are posted under each meeting once available.
    This update supports increased access and transparency by providing residents with a convenient way to stay informed when they are unable to attend meetings during their scheduled time.
    Please note that any requests for an official meeting recording should be directed to ddeforge@centralmanitoulin.ca.

    Central Manitoulin Snow Sculpture Contest - Get your family and friends together and build your best snow sculpture between February 1st - February 17th, 2026.

  • Municipal Building Closures

    Due to inclement weather, please be advised that all municipal facilities, including the Providence Bay and J.H. Burt Memorial Arenas, will be closed this evening.

    Additionally, tonight’s Finance and Economic Development Committee meeting will be held virtually only. Members of the public wishing to attend are asked to join online.

  • Safety, Security and Health Meeting Cancelled for January 20th, 2026

    Please be advised that the Safety, Security and Health committee meeting has been cancelled for Tuesday, January 20th, 2026.

  • Public Meeting Scheduled for February 11th, 2026

    The Municipality of Central Manitoulin will be hosting a public meeting to gather community input on the future of the Providence Bay arena and Spring Bay Hall. Residents are invited to attend, ask questions, and share their perspectives directly with Council. 

    The meeting will take place on February 11th, 2026, at 7:00 pm, at the Providence Bay Hall. 

    Members of the public who wish to speak may register in advance and will be provided up to five minutes per speaker. If time permits, after all registered speakers have had an opportunity, the floor will then open to individuals who have not pre-registered. 

    To assist Council in preparing thorough responses and to better ensure questions are being answered, residents are encouraged to submit their questions in writing in advance by February 6th, 2026. 

    Those wishing to register to speak and/or to submit their questions may contact the CAO/Clerk by email at ddeforge@centralmanitoulin.ca. People can also drop their questions off in person at the municipal office. 

    This meeting will be held in person and will be recorded.
