Central Manitoulin Poppy Project
Inspired by Poppy Projects around Canada, the Central Manitoulin Historical Society is organizing an Art Project of Remembrance to honour our veterans. We are collecting crocheted and knitted poppies to display on the exterior of the Welcome Centre/Mindemoya Pioneer Museum.

Public Notice: Providence Bay Beach Maintenance Week of September 30th 2024
The Municipality of Central Manitoulin has been issued a Permit Under Clause 17(2)(c) of the Endangered Species Act, 2007 by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. This is specific to the Providence Bay beach and boardwalk maintenance. The work is part of ongoing restoration of the beach that assists the natural ecosystem. These actions are expected to improve the area for the enjoyment of visitors and enhance the protected habitat, the dune, for species at risk.

Intro to Pickle Ball Sept 19th and 26th at MSS
"The Manitoulin Pickleball Club, will be hosting a number of Introduction to Pickleball Clinics, for those ADULTS (18+) that have never played the sport before. If you would like to be notified of future clinics dates and times, please feel free to register your interest.
Nets, balls and paddles (feel free to bring your own paddle) will be provided. Each clinic will be approximately 120 minutes. There is NO CHARGE for your participation.

Due to the Mindemoya swim dock being damaged, it will be removed August 30th, 2024, for the remainder of the season.
