Water Service Shutoff & Drinking Water Advisory
Please be advised that water services will be temporarily shut off at approximately 11:00 pm this evening, October 5th, 2026, to allow emergency repairs to the watermain leak on Old Highway 551 in Mindemoya. Service will remain off until repairs are complete.
It is anticipated that water will be restored by early morning, but the shutoff will be immediately followed by a Drinking Water Advisory, issued by Public Health Sudbury & Districts. This will affect residents connected to the municipal drinking water system. The official advisory and instructions for affected residents will be shared as soon as available. Staff will also go door to door to deliver notices.
Potable water remains available at the Mindemoya Water Treatment Plant, 61 Old Highway 551, and is accessible from Ketchankookem Rd. Fees are waived for residents, but please remember to bring your own water jugs, as containers will not be provided.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and please stay tuned for further updates.
