Wagg's Woods Guided Hike, Alvar Trail Announcement and New Trail Map

Friday, May 26, 2023

Notice to all Hikers, Walkers, Explorers, and Adventurers,

Join the Central Manitoulin Trail Committee members as they showcase the Wagg's Woods Trails at 1 Thorne Street in Mindemoya, ON. With the completion of the Alvar Trail, all of our trails are now open. They are well marked and ready to walk. We have trails that will suit all levels of ability: the Woodland Accessibility Trail is fully accessible, the Fossil Trail is the old streambed and full of fossils, our Escarpment Trail is more for the adventurer and follows the top of the escarpment, and the Alvar Trail lets one wander along an Alvar full of glacial erratics.

Join us on June 3, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a soft opening and follow along with us as we lead guided hikes on the trails of your choice. We will meet the Wagg's Trail Parking Lot on Thorne Street (visible on Google Maps). Grand opening to follow at a later date.

Be sure to check out the attached announcement poster and trail map!
