Provincial Lockdown & Municipal Operations

Municipal Office

The Municipal Office will be closed to the public starting for Christmas and New Years Holidays Thursday December 24th at noon and returning Tuesday December 29th, 2020. Then December 31st at noon over the weekend reopening January 4th.  The office will be closed to the public for the Provincial lockdown until January 11th, 2021 (next business day). We recommend doing Municipal business over the phone or by email, visit the Municipal directory at http://www.centralmanitoulin.ca/administration/municipal-directory.  In some cases appointments can be made for in-person business. 

Maintenance, Indoor Facilities and Rentals

Municipal Facilities such as arenas and halls will remain open for December 23rd all day and December 24th until noon for rentals as advertised. Facilities will then close until after January 8th, 2020 in accordance with Provincial regulations.  Facility rental can start again on Saturday January 9th, 2020.

Outdoor Facilities
Outdoor facilities will remain open. Any person who enters or uses the amenity maintains a physical distance of at least two metres from any other person using the amenity (excluding members of the same household). No team sports, no associated buildings will be open. 

Landfills and Garbage/Recycling Pickup

These services will operate as normal. 

Roads Department 

These services will operate as normal.
