Providence Bay Farmers Market Opening Delayed Until Further Notice

Monday, May 4, 2020

The farmers market organizers have advised the Municipality that the information put out on a Facebook March 31 post is still relevant and the opeing is delayed until further notice. See the below message copied from the Facebook page.

“Hi folks. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy in these unusual times.
In light of everything happening right now, we have made the decision to delay the opening of the Providence Bay Farmers' Market for 2020. If/when we get information from the health authorities that gathering in social groups is once again safe, we will look at quickly getting the market up and going at that time. Realistically, that may not happen this summer. For that reason, our producers are making efforts to continue making fresh local foods available to you through safer means. Food is an essential service and we are committed to providing that service through the safest of possible ways.
If you have any thoughts or ideas, please share them here.
Any producers who would like to post contact info on this page, please feel free to do so. These are difficult times and this decision is not made lightly... but everyone's health must be the number one concern.
Please be safe everyone and stay tuned to this page for updates.
Thank you for your support!”
