Passing of John Reid, Central Manitoulin Fire Chief

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the Central Manitoulin Fire Chief John Reid at the age of 65 on July 1, 2021. John has been the Central Manitoulin Fire Chief since February 2005 and has had over 30 years of volunteer firefighting, being the Chief of the Campbell Fire Team and Chief in Central Manitoulin. Please keep John’s wife, Roxanne, his children, family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time. More details will be announced when they become available.

A Little About Central

The Municipality of Central Manitoulin is located in the centre of Manitoulin Island with an abundance of lakes, rivers, and beaches.
