Indoor Walking is Back! Nov. 2020 to Mar. 2021

Tuesday, October 27, 2020

The Municipality will be offering Indoor Walking in the upstairs of the centrally located Mindemoya Community Centre, free of charge.

November 2020 to March 2021

Mondays 10 am to 11 am
Wednesdays 10 am to 11 am
Closed Holidays

  • Clean walking shoes required.
  • Please wear a mask and respect social distancing protocols of 2 metres.
  • Contact tracing sheets must be signed at the events.

Indoor walking not only provides suggested healthy exercise amounts but also aids in rehabilitation from surgeries or injuries.  In addition to exercise, it is providing a socialization event that can be easily adapted to social distancing and gathering rules. Start and end dates/times are subject to change but will be advertised.

The Municipality is always looking for popular programming ideas people to help run them for all ages. Programming suggestions or questions about Indoor Social Walking can be sent to Marcus Mohr Community Development and Outreach Coordinator at the Municipality of Central Manitoulin by phoning 705-377-5726 or email centralecdev@amtelecom.net.
