COVID-19: Central Manitoulin Council Passes Municipal Tax and Utility Deferral

To assist residents and businesses during the COVID-19 public health situation, the Municipality of Central Manitoulin Council passed the following motion on 04/23/2020 regarding Municipal tax and utility deferral.

115-2020 MOTION: D. Stephens and Shaffer

That Council approves the following:

1. That the 2020 interim tax levy instalments for the February 28 and April 30 for

properties within the municipality be deferred to June 30, 2020.

2. That the utility bill payments for March 31 be deferred until June 30, 2020.

3. That all progression and penalties on Tax registrations be deferred until June 30,

2020.

4. And that the necessary by-laws be enacted…………..…carried.
