The Interpretive Centre in Providence Bay is situated right on the finest beach on the island.  It features a Cafe, Gift Shop and Public Washrooms, along with picnic tables and chairs on the patio overlooking the bay.  The facility is open to the public from the end of June to the end of August annually and is administered and operated by the local Interpretive Centre Committee with the aid of two summer students.
A small harbour nestled on the shores of Lake Mindemoya is amongst some of the best sightseeing in Ontario, whether you are driving, walking, hiking or biking.
The entire area is especially spectacular when our striking red autumn colours arrive - offering scenery literally unmatched anywhere in the world.
In contrast the river meandering through Sandfield. As peaceful a scene as you would ever experience to while away hours fishing or walking along the banks.
